Alot of research would need to be done to figure this out. The points system changes in decathlon events and so world records are normally held for only short periods of time. You can keep an eye on this site, they say the records section will be coming soon.

How would I go about training for a triathlon?

Question: How would I go about training for a triathlon?
I’m not really doing the triathlon but my friends mom is and she is really getting fit and I wanna know what I could do.

Answer:

Answer by DosCentavos
You need to read up on it somewhat. Triathlon is a thinking athletes sport. Train with your mom’s friend if possible — it’s a lonely road and company with encouragement is always welcome!

Your friend is getting fit because she’s training in 3 sports on alternating days and it is exercising every single muscle group in her body.

Here are some quick tips, if there is such a thing in this sport:

1) Learn/relearn how to swim. Look up the book Total Immersion by Terry Laughlin.
2) Cycle — lots of cycling and learn proper pedaling form.
3) Running — learn to run with ease (relative) and injury free. Grab the book Chi Running by Danny Dreyer.

Get a heart rate monitor.

And if you’re going to train like a triathlete, then essentially you ARE a triathlete. Part of being a triathlete is joining races to test how well your fitness is coming along.

Triathlon is about efficiency and energy management. You want to avoid floating, coasting and walking and maintain a pace for the entire race. In swimming you should be able to swim non-stop for at least 20 minutes for an easy sprint distance swim. You should be able to bike for at least 1 hour for an easy 13 mile bike, and you should be able to run non-stop for at least 40 minutes to ensure you’ll be able to run the entire 3.1 afterwards.

Joke for you, star if you like it?

Question: Joke for you, star if you like it?
Jenny was having an affair during the day while her husband was at work. One day, she was in bed with her boyfriend Ralph, when she heard her husband’s car pull in the driveway.

She yelled at Ralph, “Hurry! grab your clothes and jump out the window, my husband is home early!”

Ralph looked out the window and said, “I can’t jump out the window! It’s raining like hell out there.”

Jenny cried, “If my husband catches us in here, he will kill both of us!”

So, Ralph grabbed his clothes and jumped out the window. When he landed outside he found himself in the middle of a marathon race, so he started running along side the others, only he was still in the nude, carrying his clothes on his arm.

One of the runners asked him, “Do you always run in the nude?”

Ralph answered, while gasping for air, “Oh yes, it feels so free having the air blow over your skin while you are running.”

Then another runner asked, “Do you always run carrying your clothes on your arm?”

Ralph answered breathlessly, “Oh yes, that way I can get dressed at the end of the run and get in my car to go home.”

Then another runner asked, “Do you always wear a condom when you run?”

Ralph answered, “Only if it’s raining!”

What should I do if I fail this Thursday at Academic Decathlon California State?

Question: What should I do if I fail this Thursday at Academic Decathlon California State?
I want to break 8800 points, but my parents are totally against me studying. Yet, they want to attend the awards ceremony.

Today, I only finished half of what was on my planned schedule.

I have three days left.

I will most likely feel like I tanked my regular classes for nothing if I don’t get a good score this week. I will also feel like an idiot if I don’t get any chance to walk on stage. I will also feel like an utter failure who loses at life.

Honestly.
My parents think that I should focus on my regular classes instead of Academic Decathlon. Thus their reasoning that I should not study for AD.

Answer:

First off, why are your parents against studying o.0?
